Parts of Metro still inundated!!!

On 13th Nov, I visited Kolathur, Puzhal & Redhills. It was a great sight to see Redhills Lake and Rettai Eri brimmimg with water. At the same time, it was very sorry to see, still many houses at Vinayagapuram, adjacent to Kolathur, are submerged in water. The reason is that these houses were built and are still being built in the land that originally belong to the lake.

Who to blame for this; the greedy people who buy lands in the encroached lake area or the real estate promoters or the government who fail to check these encroachments?

Puzhal eri is full - No water scarcity in Chennai for another one year?

Hope, Chennaities don't have to worry about drinking water untill next year from now. I visited Puzhal Eri at Redhills, one of the main sources of drinking water to the city of Chennai, yesterday. The Eri was almost full; nearly two feet less than its full capacity. It was awesome scene and I could not resist my tempation to take photographs.
